Tesla’s humours X post questioning the company’s identity
Quoting a video of an Optimus robot dancing, the official Twitter handle of Tesla humorously questioned the company's identity as primarily a car manufacturer. “We're a car company right,” it wrote in the post.
Since its initial prototype in 2022, these videos show significant progress in the agility and expressiveness of the Tesla Optimus robot. This demonstration is part of Tesla's broader efforts in AI and robotics, as highlighted in events like the "We, Robot" event, where Optimus has previously been shown performing synchronized dances, indicating a focus on not just functional but also expressive robotic movements. Elon Musk has previously stated that Optimus will perform a wide range of everyday tasks in the future, with plans for limited production in 2025.

Responding to a post by X user saying “Tesla's new Optimus video is so unbelievable that people think it's fake/CGI,” Musk said:

And multiple Optimus robots walk around the office 24/7 with no one watching over them, charging themselves as needed."
