Elon Musk shares dancing videos of Optimus Robot; Tesla responds 'We're a car company right'

Elon Musk has shared multiple videos of Optimus, Tesla 's humanoid robot , dancing like humans. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Musk shared videos of the robot dancing , showcasing its advanced capabilities in real-time movement and balance. Commenting on one such video, Musk wrote: “This is real real-time”.



“Optimus will perform ballet perfectly,” the Tesla CEO wrote in another post.



Tesla’s humours X post questioning the company’s identity

Quoting a video of an Optimus robot dancing, the official Twitter handle of Tesla humorously questioned the company's identity as primarily a car manufacturer. “We're a car company right,” it wrote in the post.



Since its initial prototype in 2022, these videos show significant progress in the agility and expressiveness of the Tesla Optimus robot. This demonstration is part of Tesla's broader efforts in AI and robotics, as highlighted in events like the "We, Robot" event, where Optimus has previously been shown performing synchronized dances, indicating a focus on not just functional but also expressive robotic movements. Elon Musk has previously stated that Optimus will perform a wide range of everyday tasks in the future, with plans for limited production in 2025.

Optimus dance troupe at Tesla shareholders meeting

Elon Musk also revealed in an X post that he will have an Optimus dance troupe on stage with him at Tesla’s next shareholder meeting. He wrote:

"I will have an Optimus dance troupe on stage with me at the Tesla shareholders meeting".



Responding to a post by X user saying “Tesla's new Optimus video is so unbelievable that people think it's fake/CGI,” Musk said:

"It does this every day in our Palo Alto lab .

And multiple Optimus robots walk around the office 24/7 with no one watching over them, charging themselves as needed."
