Ajmer: The district police Thursday removed Bhikaram Kala, SHO of Kishangarh and sent him to police lines. Police also formed Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the arrest of an advocate and notary public of Kishangarh. Another team will conduct an inquiry into the use of a water cannon during the advocates' protest. The District Bar Association ended its strike after 18 days, during which they boycotted judicial work in the courts.

A meeting was held between police representatives under Ajmer SP Vandita Rana and a delegation of advocates, including association president Ashok Singh Rawat and secretary Deepak Gupta, at the SP office.

After the meeting, additional SP (rural) Deepak Sharma and additional SP (city) Himanshu Jangid briefed the media. Sharma said, "It has been decided to remove SHO Kishangarh and send him to police lines, and an SIT has been formed to investigate the matter," Jangid said, adding, "We appeal to the masses that they have the right to protest, but it should be peaceful."

In the case where advocate Bal Kishan of Kishangarh was arrested, the police mentioned that there are many cases involving land mafias, and they are investigating all those cases. After FSL investigation, SHO Kishangarh Bhikaram found that the notary public of the agreement for land sale did not have the thumb impression of the parties, leading to his arrest on April 25.

Association secretary Deepak Gupta stated that the Kishangarh advocate was arrested from the court premises and was wrongly accused, which led to the protest to remove the SHO. "Now that the police administration has accepted our demand, we have called off the strike," the secretary added.

During the protest, the police were not allowed to enter the district and sessions court premises.
