Limescale buildup is pretty much unavoidable. Over time it will begin to appear in your bathroom, but that doesn't mean you have to accept it.
While there are all kinds of different bleaches and cleaning products that promise to remove limescale, one of the easiest ways doesn't involve any store bought products at all. One of the best ways to get rid of limescale is with white vinegar.
If you only have a small amount of limescale, then you can use a 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar in a spray bottle and apply it to the affected area.
Then use a toilet brush and scrub it clean.
If you have limescale over a larger area, just pour the white vinegar across the whole area and then let it soak thoroughly before scrubbing with the toilet brush.
For an even more effective clean, add some baking soda into the mix. Pour about one cup of white vinegar into the toilet bowl, then an equal amount of baking soda and let it sit for about ten minutes.
Make sure you use gloves and eye protection, as this method will bubble up. Use the toilet brush to guide the cleaning solution around and cover all the limescale, then let it sit for a further 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes is up, flush the toilet and the limescale should be gone.
You can also use Coca Cola to get rid of limescale - it works due to the high acidity which dissolves limescale.
To use it, just pour a full bottle of Coke into the toilet, being sure to guide the Coke around the rim of the toilet. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then flush the toilet.
This method can be repeated until our toilet is gleaming.
