Broadcaster Piers Morgan posted his very strong opinions on Father Ted creator Graham Lineham's arrest on Twitter today, which was seen by more than a million people. It comes after Lineham was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of inciting violence in relation to his posts on X on Monday.
The 57-year-old claimed he was arrested by five officers after arriving at the London-based airport from the US. He wrote in an online Substack article that officials became worried for his health after taking his blood pressure, and took him to hospital for further check-ups. The TV writer also said the posts related to him challenging a "trans-identified male" in a "female-only space" which were posted in April.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said a man in his 50s was arrested on 1 September at Heathrow Airport, but did not officially name Lineham.
They said: "On Monday, 1 September, at 1pm officers arrested a man at Heathrow airport after he arrived on an inbound American Airlines flight. The man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence. This is in relation to posts on X.
"After being taken to police custody, officers became concerned for his health and he was taken to hospital. His condition is neither life-threatening nor life-changing. He has now been bailed pending further investigation.
"The arrest was made by officers from the MPS aviation unit. It is routine for officers policing airports to carry firearms. These were not drawn or used at any point during the arrest."
Morgan was quick to share his thoughts on the arrest in light of his millions of X followers today.
The former Good Morning Britain host tagged Lineham and penned: "What's happened to @Glinner, today is absolutely ridiculous.
"Five armed cops arresting him at Heathrow for tweets mocking the scandal of biological men invading women's spaces? When it comes to free speech, Britain's turning into North Korea."
