As the political buzz in Bihar intensifies ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, a surprising development has emerged — Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, is set to enter the electoral battlefield. Sources suggest that Jyoti Singh will contest from the Karakat Assembly constituency, most likely as an independent candidate.
This move has caught many political observers off guard, as speculation had earlier suggested that Pawan Singh himself might contest from the region. However, it now appears that his wife will represent the family in the political arena instead.
Meeting with Prashant Kishor Fuels SpeculationAdding fuel to the speculation, Jyoti Singh recently met Prashant Kishor, the political strategist and founder of the Jan Suraj movement, in Patna. Since the meeting, whispers have circulated that she may contest the election on a Jan Suraj ticket. However, neither Jyoti Singh nor the Jan Suraj team has officially confirmed this.
Rising Presence in KarakatOver the past few months, Jyoti Singh has been actively engaging with voters in the Karakat region. Reports indicate that she has conducted public outreach campaigns in Nabinagar, Dehri, and Karakat, signaling serious political intent.
Her recent media presence and social media activity have also kept her in the public eye, both for her political ambitions and her personal statements.
The Election Commission has declared that the Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases:
-
First phase: November 6
-
Second phase: November 11
The results will be announced on November 14.
As both the NDA and the Grand Alliance finalize their candidates, all eyes will now be on Karakat — to see whether Jyoti Singh’s entry can reshape the political equation in one of Bihar’s most-watched constituencies.
