Signs Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton have been secretly dating for months

Helen Skelton and 's dynamic on-screen chemistry has translated off-screen into a blossoming romance. The perky presenters, who star together on Morning Live, weretogether last weekend and are said to be 'growing closer and closer' as their relationship takes an exciting new turn.

Following news the pair are now an item, fans have been spotting tell tale clues the pair have been hooking up for months. Two months ago, Gethin, 47, praised the mum-of-three, 41, after completing an epic 24-hour roller disco challenge with Helen for in which they rolled round and round a skating rink, clad in lycra, leg warmers and red crash helmets. Gushing how much he enjoyed spending time with the Blue Peter star, Gethin also let slip a secret nickname for Helen, as he captioned a snap of the star, sporting her red nose: "famous ferret".

Thanking the former Blue Peter host for being a "super woman", he wrote: "And a little appreciation post for this super woman . Unbelievable physical and mental resilience… Loves a laugh but a deep thinker (I had to remind her a few times we were live on tv ).

"It says a lot that you can spend 24hrs non stop with someone and still call them an hour later for a debrief . Respect means we can be honest with each other always.

"There was NO time at all, at any time during this challenge, not one, where I wanted to throw her off the rink. Never once. Didn’t even come into mind. #famous ferret."

Commenting on the partnership two months before rumours of a romance between the pair started, one of the couple's fans replied: "You two belong together. Love you guys. Epic challenge, a pleasure to watch."

Another fan who clocked their connection from the post gushed: "Cooooome on!!! It’s staring you both in the face!!"

The TV pals, who have been close pals after working together on Morning Live, have both had their hearts broken after Gethin's engagement to was called off, and Helen split from ex-husband Richie Myler back in 2022.

They were spotted leaving the BAFTAs together last weekend, and got tongues wagging as they laughed together at the bash.

Now it has been reported that their friendship is blossoming into something deeper as they explore their new dynamic.

"Helen and Gethin have an extremely close working relationship and there's a feeling in recent months their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection.

"They're both keen to keep a lid on it to avoid public scrutiny but there's no denying their closeness both on and off screen," a source told .

Welshman Gethin has been single since 2023 after dating First Dates star Cici Coleman two years ago. Helen, meanwhile, has kept her private life out of the spotlight since splitting up with her ex, who has now welcomed a child with Stephanie Thirkhill, whose millionaire father Andrew Thirkill is president of Richie’s club, Leeds Rhinos.
