BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst issued an emotional update to fans about grief after her father passed away in July.
The BBC star confirmed that her father, Chris, had died on July 2, with Nina, 44, and her family by his side until the end.
Nina had previously disclosed that Chris was diagnosed with dementia in 2022, and she had been open about how the family had been caring for him.

Over the summer, Nina said that she "can't quite accept" her father's departure and shared the poignant final moments she spent with him.
She posted a touching photo on Instagram of her and her dad holding hands, paying a heartfelt tribute to him.
Taking to Instagram earlier this week, Nina issued a candid update to her 47.9K followers about her grief as she shared a video of a bath running with an emotional message.
It read: "Self care... it wasn't the bath that made me feel better it was that I thought I was someone worth running a bath for" with a heart emoji.
Nina elaborated in the caption of her post: "This week I decided to seek professional help for my grief. At the end of the first counselling session she asked, 'has this done what you'd hoped?'
"I realised it had taken me a long time to make the call that I knew needed to happen, and that just by picking up the phone I had become stronger and more capable of looking after myself. I felt proud.
"Whenever I get in the bath I don't stay there very long. But it is a statement to myself that I am allowed to take time for something that to me still feels luxurious and frivolous.
"The placebo of recognising a need and doing something about it is as big as the act", encouraging her followers: "Try it" with heart emojis.
Nina was flooded with support as one account replied: "You are doing amazingly always astounded how professional you are reading the news and juggling a young family and all the dynamics involved you should be proud of yourself on many levels x thank you for sharing your stories with us love seeing your beautiful family grow and prosper x."
A different account put: "What a fantastic post love ,and glad your feeling more confident and proud of yourself just like dad would be proud of his girl", another wrote: "Nina …. You are loved and all the love that surrounds you will carry you through this difficult time xxx" while a different account added: "Well done it can be so hard to ask for help. Another follower put: "Oh Nina! We all love you and we hope seeking the therapy helps you. Thank you for sharing it with us too xx" while a different account added: "Sending you love and hugs - it’s a difficult time x."
