COVID-19 has re-emerged in Ghaziabad with four confirmed cases reported on Friday, sparking concern among health authorities. According to the district surveillance officer, one of the infected patients, an 18-year-old girl from Brij Vihar, has been hospitalized, while the other three – an elderly couple returning from Bengaluru and a woman from Vaishali – are in home isolation.
The young woman was admitted to Yashoda Hospital, Kaushambi, on May 18 with symptoms of cough, cold, and fever. Her COVID test returned positive, and she remains under medical supervision.
This fresh detection of cases near Delhi has prompted health officials to monitor the situation closely. While the patients are reported to be stable, authorities are reviewing contact tracing and containment measures as a precaution. No district-wide advisory has been issued yet, but the local administration is urging residents to remain alert and follow standard health protocols.
