Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2025: Why does Aaradhya like to go to 'Cannes', Aishwarya Rai told the reason- 'She is like me...'

Aishwarya Rai is attending the Cannes Film Festival. She was recently spotted with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in black clothes. Aishwarya has been a part of Cannes since 2002. Earlier she used to go to this event with her mother Vrinda Rai. Now her daughter Aaradhya goes with her. Aishwarya Rai once said that Aaradhya has become well acquainted with Cannes and likes the atmosphere of the film festival.

Aishwarya had told in an old interview with Film Companion, 'It is really about being together. They are familiar with it. They know everyone here. Returning to Cannes is like meeting friends. She is like me in this matter. She likes the palace, she likes the atmosphere. I am sure she understands that this is a film festival. It is wonderful to see respect for the world of cinema in your children. I am sure all this is getting absorbed in her.'

Aishwarya Rai was asked what effect being in the spotlight has on Aaradhya. When asked if Aaradhya gets affected by the media attention, Aishwarya told Firstpost, “By God’s grace, she has tremendous tolerance. I have seen this since her childhood. When she faces a crowd, she becomes very calm, as if she understands everything. Yes, she clings to me in public because people are shouting, pushing and jostling. When I am in a crowd with her, I become more nervous than her.”

Aishwarya Rai had further said, “Look, anything can happen. It is not that anyone wants to harm. But even a little jostling in the crowd can hurt my daughter. So I move ahead with her in the crowd, while she remains calm. Everyone is smiling and waving and calling her name. It is a friendly world for her. Everyone knows her and she should know everyone. So no one tries to make her feel like a celebrity.”
