News of Cancelled Trains: Due to winter fog, the Railways have temporarily cancelled several trains. Be sure to check the train list for your route before traveling to avoid any inconvenience.
News of Cancelled Trains: The Railways are considered the lifeline of the country. Approximately 25 million people travel by train every day. However, this journey becomes a little more difficult during the winter season. In fact, due to dense fog, the Railways face difficulties in operating trains every year. This time too, as the cold increases, many trains are running late and some are being cancelled. The Railways has now decided that several long-distance express trains will remain suspended for the next three months. This includes approximately 16 trains passing through the Saharanpur route.
The Railways has installed modern technology and safety systems to prevent train cancellations due to fog. Despite this, trains often run on time during the winter season. Despite spending crores of rupees, dealing with fog remains a major challenge for the Railways, causing passengers to face delays and cancellations.
Trains Cancelled for Three Months
If you plan to travel by train in the coming months, this news is useful. The Railways has decided to temporarily cancel several trains during the winter season this year as well. Several long-distance trains will not run from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. This includes the Jalandhar-Delhi Superfast Express, a key train on the Saharanpur-Delhi route, which will remain suspended until March 1, 2026.
This step has been taken due to fog to ensure safety during train operations. However, this may increase difficulties for passengers, especially those who have already booked tickets. According to A.K. Tyagi, Senior Superintendent of Saharanpur Station, the Railways has prepared to make alternative arrangements for the convenience of passengers and minimize inconvenience during their travel.
