Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh, has issued a notification for recruitment to several positions, including Senior Resident, Resident Pathology, Medical Officer, and Lady Medical Officer.
The online application process for the recruitment has begun, and interested candidates can apply until October 28, 2025. The examination will be held on November 15 and 16, 2025.
To apply for these positions, candidates must have the required degree in the relevant field. An MD, MS, or DNB degree is required for the Senior Resident or Resident Pathology positions, while an MBBS degree is required for the Medical Officer and Lady Medical Officer positions.
The maximum age limit for candidates is 30, 37, or 45 years, depending on the position. However, candidates from reserved categories will be given relaxation as per the rules. OBC candidates will receive a three-year relaxation, while SC/ST candidates will receive a five-year relaxation.
The application fee also varies by category. SC candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹500, while the fee for all other categories is ₹1,000. Candidates must submit this fee online.
The registration process will be completely online. Candidates must first visit the official website of the Government Medical College and Hospital, www.gmch.gov.in. Click on the "Apply Online" link on the home page and fill in the required information.
Following this process, upload scanned copies of all documents related to your educational qualifications and experience. Pay the application fee and carefully check all the information before submitting the form. After completing the application, keep a printout of the application, which will be useful for further processing.
